Please plan to start working by 8 am so it's best if you get there a bit early!
The day starts off with a multidisciplinary meeting to discuss the patients for the day working with social workers, researchers, nurses, behavioral health and faculty
You will work with Dr. Breland for 2 of the 4 weeks. You will work with Dr. Divall (pediatric endocrinology) the other two weeks.
Plan to stay a bit past 12 pm as they have clinic all day. Please try your best to attend didactics on Tuesday afternoons.

Patient care
PC-1, PC-2 & PC-3: Learn to provide patient-centered and quality care by partnering with patients to counsel, inform, educate and support our LGBTQ patient population in areas of healthcare maintenance and other LGBTQ-related health needs
PC-5: Gain competence in performing appropriate counseling and prescribing of hormone therapy to meet the needs of our trans patient population

MK-1 & MK-2: Demonstrate appropriate knowledge about LGBTQ healthcare relative to current level of training
Systems-based practice
SBP-2: Emphasize patient safety following appropriate clinical guidelines and protocols, i.e. PrEP and hormone therapy for the trans* community
